  1. Personal resonance in that last stanza as I watch my mother disappear in dementia while my father and I witness. She is quite lost most days, but the glimmer of recognition from time to time, especially given to her husband is a glorious moment and I hope feels a little like that last stanza of your poem to her. I would like to think so.

  2. I am very lucky to have my beloved.
    Hardly the same loss, but the anniversary of my mother’s death draws near.
    So much to lose when we let people in, but so little to live for when we don’t.
