  1. I love what you’ve done with this, Paul. The last lines do tick to the only time any of us have for sure. And yet, it is so very easy to be transported back in time as if only moments have passed – all the years imbued with rich colour and vibrancy. The future is unwritten for all of us. Splendid reflection on that too short a commodity and the nature of it.

  2. “stutter-stop sweep / of a secondhand” – Superb! I had to stop and read this slowly to digest the meaning – exactly what the content suggests we do. I love it when the cadence supports the contents and you do this so well.
