  1. I’ve lost a few myself. I’m “an old soul,” or so I’m told, so I have journals and journals of physical backups. I hate this digital stuff, but… well, shit. 😀

  2. Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog and wished to say that I’ve truly enjoyed surfing around your blog posts. After all I will be subscribing to your rss feed and I hope you write again soon!

  3. irony: when my laptop was destroyed, my mentor said, “use a pen”…lol but my handwriting is bad now…part 2: I had a quill pen and ink set that I had on display in my room I thought it was beautiful…until I noticed the ink dried up…anyway LOVED the poem

  4. I’m sorry you lost your poem, it’s happened to me too. But I love your choice of words, “alien jargon that tongue ties my fingers” perfect! You know a lot of programs have drafts, wordpress does. So does Word. You might be able to find it after all.

  5. Brilliant piece that most likely would not be here if the other hadn’t vanished. But I feel for ya. I’ve been tempted to chew broomsticks in half a time or three but dentures are too costly.

  6. Oh my gosh, I hate when that happens–but knowing you, Paul (even a little), I dare predict your poem will come back to you, sterling and gilt-edged for us to imbibe.

  7. I still write just about everything then type it up. Double the work. But words seem to come easier through a pen than on the screen.
But I have also ‘lost’ work to the ether which is beyond maddening. I never really recapture the words if they fly off. 😉 x
