  1. I’m so sorry to hear that it afflicts your brother, Paul–everything I’ve read about the disease is awful and frightening. “Stealing grace from the elegant” is an eloquent statement.

  2. Thank you, Paul. I can see this clearly. Someone very close to me suffered with this for some fifteen years, in the days of little treatment, from the mid-sixties. It is not fair that, to be rescued from a fall, one should rely on a child or neighbor, yet she was strong until the end.
