Elegantly put. Lovely sound and feel to this. It made me think (as a 30-something) both in terms of the perspective learned by a stage-of-life I’ve yet to reach, but also our general tendency these days to try to rush through everything quickly – as if we can’t get to our demise fast enough!

Your style is called “free style verse” and it is absolutely lovely. I believe poem structures should come from the heart and soul, but I hope many are all ‘open’. The free structures don’t have to be exactly planned nor do they keep to a strict rule. And… nor is there any (or much) rhyming.
I like poems like that don’t rhyme too much unless its Valentines Day.
